Betliar, located in National park Slovak Paradise, is one of the most visited castles, because the visitor except the mansion and its collections has the opportunity to go after one of the largest parks (about 70 ha). The history of the castle today is closely linked with the history of noble families Bebek and Andrássy. The entire interior of the castle is an exposure of gentry and acquaints visitors with the level of residential architecture and culture of the 19th century. Significant is a collection of works of art, preserved furniture, arms ceramics, glass, porcelain and various curiosities, suggesting collecting passion of the former owners of the manor house. Unique is a library containing over 15,000 volumes. In the natural park which surrounds the mansion there are many rare trees, fountains, ponds and sculptures. Park is on the list of world historical gardens and is also the largest maintained park in Slovakia.
